Our Little Speed Racer

Charlie suddenly became interested in this mini racetrack that he had laying in is room for awhile. It was "too old" for someone his age, but came with something else and we figured eventually he would use it. Well, eventually came much sooner that I thought and Kenny is in heaven playing cars with his little buddy.

March Walks

Charlie LOVES being outside. The first nice weekend in March, we hit the streets and started walking and exploring the neighborhood again. We are working on holding hands, watching for cars and LISTENING to the adult we are with!

February Fun

Aunt Kathi and Uncle Lloyd got a new puppy and we were so excited to take Charlie over to meet Austen. Austen is a "Canvas puppy" -- Canvas, their oldest dog, is his daddy. Canvas is a major stud and has dates with other girl doggies from all over the place. Austen was born in Texas and flew here in January to live with Kathi and Lloyd.

January Fun

Some months it's easier to capture in one post highlighting some details of our everyday life. January is one of those months...

A year and a half ago, as I traveled to Northwestern to be with Kenny, I drove by Heaven on Seven, a cajun restaurant, each day. Kenny loves cajun food and I would bribe him with a visit there sometime when he was released from the hospital. It might have taken 17 months, but we finally made it there. We both had the day off from work and a doctor's appointment and support group meeting brought us to Chicago that day, so we enjoyed a lunch at Heaven on Seven finally. It was heavenly too! We also did a little shopping and relaxing in the afternoon as we read and drank coffee. A perfect day for a date!
