Christmas with the Friedrichs - Part 2

About a week after Christmas we enjoyed a morning at Joan and Joe's house celebrating Christmas again so that the grandparents could enjoy sometime with Anna, Kate and Charlie.

18 months!!

Charlie turned 18 months old the day after Christmas. Where is the time going?! We spend the day at home recovering from Christmas fun. Here's a few pictures of our little guy on his 18 month birthday.

Learning how to work his new racetrack.

There's a big smile.

We gave Charlie an old dead cell phone...a wonderful gift for someone who loves to "talk" on the phone.

Christmas with the Friedrichs

We spent Christmas afternoon at Aunt Sue and Uncle Rick's house with special guests Amy, Mike and Veronica in from the west coast. Veronica and Charlie are just a few months apart and it was great to let them spend some time together.

Our little cutie.

Charlie and Veronica playing. Do their profiles kind of look alike?

Hey...I have one of those at home!

Oh, Cousin Megan, you are SO funny!!

Trying to get a nice picture of Charlie and Megan.

Veronica would you like to learn about cars?

Cousin Lauren (aka the baby whisperer) and silly Charlie.

Christmas Morning

It's so much fun to see the joy and excitement in Charlie's eyes when he sees something he loves. Christmas was fun this year as he can appreciate some new things, but still doesn't understand all of it.

Charlie with his gift from Santa - an Elmo computer. Amazing that Santa knew he loves Elmo!

A snack cup in his stocking...but why isn't it full of food?!

An Elmo coloring book!

Great Grandpa sent Charlie a check for Christmas and we used some of the money to buy him a vet kit complete with a sweet, soft dog. We thought some of Great Grandpa's gift should go towards teaching him about being a vet, since Great Grandpa was himself for many years. Maybe Charlie will follow in his footsteps!
Giving the doggie kisses.

Trying out some of the vet equipment!

Christmas with the Pecks

Christmas Eve we spent with Grammy, Pops, Uncle Ted, Aunt Kathi, Uncle Lloyd and Canvas and Daphne. Charlie LOVES the doggies and once Daph gets the jumping out of her system, Charlie is great with them.

Charlie so excited to pet the Daphne.

And not fazed at all by putting his finger in her mouth.

Daphne and Canvas gave him these doggies that play Christmas music. He's in love! (see video of it a few posts back)

Cars...does Charlie like cars?!

More cars and trucks...

A monster truck book. So interesting!

Christmas with the Mustapas

Some how I didn't manage many pictures of from our Mustapa family Christmas Celebration...but here are a few of Charlie opening presents. My dad was sitting behind him on the stairs and Charlie would rip one piece of paper off at a time and hand them individually to Pops. Even when we gave him the garbage bag...he still had to give them to Pops. It was cute.

Pre Christmas Celebrations

At the beginning of December we went to the Packard Christmas Party. Charlie met Taylor (Uncle Jim's friend Mary Lou's granddaughter...got that?!). Taylor is older than Charlie but he loved having someone little to run around with. See the photo a few posts back of him SCREAMING at Santa at this party.

Grammy brought some little gifts over for Charlie each week when she watched him, leading up to Christmas to give him a little practice at opening gifts.

Charlie's Got Some Cool Moves

Charlie loves to dance and that kid has some crazy moves. So cute you can't help but laugh and smile and his sweet little self.

Here is a good run of them from the same night:

A Date with Reese

Charlie and Reese had a date back in mid December. Reese's parents had a Christmas party so I had the kiddos for the night...it's kind of like having twins. These two really love to play together and they are so fun to watch. They loved driving cars around the house...I have a little video of it below.

Towards the end of the night, I got them both ready for bed and put on Elmo for a little "wind down" time. They both loved to watch Elmo, but when I asked Charlie if he wanted to give Reese a hug and a kiss, she jumped at giving him one first. So sweet kids!

Go here to see a cute video of these two sweeties:
